WFH Labs / How we work

A clear scope. An agreed result.

You should know what you are buying, what your team needs to contribute and who is responsible for the work. We settle those points before starting.

Start with the problem

We discuss what is happening, which systems or people are affected, the deadline and what a useful result would look like.

Write down the agreement

The proposal sets out scope, deliverables, assumptions, required access, responsibilities, price and schedule. Any implementation or ongoing support is described explicitly.

Carry out the work

We review information, speak to the relevant people and carry out the agreed investigation or changes. If new work is needed, we discuss the scope before adding it.

Check and hand over

We explain the result, record what was completed and identify anything that still needs a decision. Where changes are included, the agreed checks and responsibilities are documented.

Illustrative work record · not a client case

An old server. Several findings. One coordinated change.

Problem

A security report lists several issues affecting the same unsupported server.

Investigate

Check which applications depend on it and whether a supported upgrade is available.

Agree

Assign the upgrade, arrange downtime and prepare a recovery option.

Check

Test the applications and ask the testing provider to verify the relevant findings.

Working arrangements / Questions to settle early

Advice, implementation
or ongoing help?

A focused review

A defined question and a written result: a systems assessment, findings review or comparison of technology options.

Help with changes

Implementation or coordination of agreed work, with access, maintenance windows, recovery arrangements and checks defined.

Ongoing leadership

A regular role supporting decisions and delivery. Availability, responsibilities and communication are agreed in advance.

Next step / Start with your situation

You do not need to know the technical term.

Tell us what is happening, what it affects and when you need help. We’ll discuss whether we can help and what a useful first piece of work would be.
